 Q:  Where can I take classes to get a GED?  Does the Library have study
       quides?

 A: GED classes are offered at Indiana Workforce Development (812- 279-4400), and the Mitchell Public Library (812-849-2412). You may contact them for further details and class schedules. You may also call (812) 277-0619 for more information. The Library has study guides and videos available for checkout.

 Q:  Does the Library have practice tests?
 A: 
The Library has study guides with practice tests available for checkout, including
        GED, ASVAB, NCLEX, and SAT.  For free practice tests you can access via the
        Internet, visit www.testprepreview.com.

 Q:  Where can I get advice for a legal issue?
 A: 
There is a legal services attorney in Bedford once a month.  You may call Hoosier
         Hills PACT at (812) 279-4099 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
         There is a free legal line staffed by lawyers available on the second Tuesday of each
         month. You may call between 6-8 pm at (317) 269-2000.  You may also contact the
         Indiana Legal Services Office in Bloomington.  They are available by phone at
         (800) 822-4774 or online at www.indianajustice.org.

 Q:  Where can I get legal forms that I can fill out and file on my own?
 A: 
Legal forms, including forms for divorce, name change, contempt, continuance,
        child support, and contempt regarding parenting time, are available online at
        www.in.gov/judiciary/selfservice/forms.html.  The Library has printed copies of these
        at the reference desk that you may copy on the public copier at 10 cents per page.
        We also have pre-printed packets--ask at the reference desk for prices. Protection
        and no contact orders are available online at
        www.in.gov/judiciary/forms/publicindex.html. The Library has legal books available
        for checkout that include forms. You may also check our Forms page to see
        if what you need is available there.

  Q:  How can I find out who represents me in Indiana government?
  A: 
The Library keeps an updated brochure listing contact information for our current
          officials. You may also find this information online at www.in.gov and
          www.whitehouse.gov.  For Senators, visit www.senate.gov.  For U.S.
          Representatives, visit www.house.gov.  You may find out who your local
          representatives are by visiting www.in.gov/legislative/legislators.  You
          may call (800) 382-9467 to reach Indiana Senators, (800) 382-9842 to reach
          Democrat Representatives, or (800) 382-9841 to reach Republican
          Representatives.

  Q:  How can I get articles from magazines you don't carry?
  A: 
Use the link to INSPIRE on our homepage.  INSPIRE is a database of popular
         magazines, newspapers, and journals that allows you to search and print full-text
         articles.  Enter your search terms, check full text, and search for your article. 
         Reference staff can give you instructions if you need assistance.  If the database
         doesn't include your article, ask reference staff if Interlibrary Loan service is
         possible.

  Q:  How do I get a free credit report?
  A: 
You can get a free credit report via Internet, phone, or mail. To order your report
          online, visit https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp and select your start
          from the "Start Here" box. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your
          transaction. To order your report via phone, call (877) 322-8228. To order your
          report via mail, download a request form from the "Frequently Asked Questions"
          portion of the website and mail a completed copy to Annual Credit Report Request
          Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA, 30348-5281.

  Q:  Does the Library have wireless Internet?
  A: 
Yes! Wireless Internet service is available from access points inside the Library.
          Computer lab rules apply.

  Q:  How can I get help paying for prescription drugs?
  A: 
To see if you qualify for prescription assistance, you may contact Partnership for
          Prescription Assistance by phone at (888) 477-2669, or apply for Hoosier Rx
          assistance via Internet or telephone at (866) 267-4679 between 8 a.m. and
          4:30 p.m.

  Q:  Can I get access to auto repair data online?
  A: 
Yes. The Library subscribes to the Auto Repair Reference Center. You will need to
         enter your entire library card number to access the database. We also have several
         Chilton auto, truck and van manuals available for checkout.

  Q:  Who can I contact for help with starting a small business?
  A: 
Contact the Indiana Small Business Development Center for free and low-cost
          expert practical advice, education, products, and services. Visit their website or
          call them at (888) 472-3244.
