- Library card applications are available at the main library.
- You must show proof of current address to receive a library card.
- All cards will be mailed.
- Any child under 12 years of age must have his/her application signed by a parent or guardian.
- You must have your library card with you to check out materials.
- You should inform us if you have a change of name or address. Your card will be updated at no charge.
- You are responsible for the care and return of all items checked out on your card.
- You are responsible for notifying the library if your card is lost or stolen. If not reported, you are responsible for materials checked out on your card.
- Do not loan your card to friends...you are responsible for all items checked out on your card.
REPLACEMENT CARD COST:
Adult cards -- $2.00
Children & Teen cards -- $1.00
Persons living outside Lawrence county must have a Public Library Access Card (PLAC) to use the Bedford Public Library.

Materials may be renewed online, via Telecirc Telephone renewal at 275-8383 or by calling the library at 275-4471.
- All materials 20 cents per day overdue ($4.00 max. fine per item)
- Materials 45 days past due will be billed to the customer.
- No check out or computer use if there are any fines/fees on your card.
- Outstanding accounts of $25.00 or more are assigned to a collection service.
You will be charged for items checked out on your card that are lost or damaged.
