Graphic Novel Donations

The Library welcomes donations of gently used graphic novels and manga to build up our collection. Any and all donated graphic novels will be considered for placement on the Library’s shelves, and books not incorporated into the library catalog will be placed in the monthly book sale.

Calling for DVDs

Do you have gently used DVDs that you aren’t watching? Why not weed out your stash and help the library at the same time? The Library welcomes donations of DVDs to build up our collection. Any and all donated DVDs will be considered for placement on the Library’s shelves, and DVDs not incorporated into the library catalog will be placed in the monthly book sale. You can minimize your DVDs while helping the Library maximize it’s collection. It’s winning situation for everyone!

LIBRARY MISSION:

The Bedford Public Library is committed to providing materials and services needed to meet the life-long educational, informational, and recreational needs of our citizens.

There are several gift giving opportunities that will help the Library achieve this mission.

MONETARY GIFTS:

Gift funds are often used to support special programs that cannot be funded with tax monies.

Donations to the Bedford Public Library are tax deductible. Gift giving opportunities are listed below:

* Programs for library customers of all ages - This includes special presentations by authors and performances for children.

* Summer reading program - Reading related incentive prizes are awarded to encourage children to read throughout the summer.

* Memorial contributions - Gifts in memory or in honor of a loved one or friend are welcome. Staff will select materials and place a commemorative plate in each item.

Memorial contributions may also be made to a program fund.

DONATIONS OF ITEMS:

Current books, books on tape or CD, or equipment in good condition may be donated to the Library. Materials may be added to the Library’s collection or sold in the monthly booksale.
