Our Purpose:
-to provide knowledge, hope and opportunity to persons who cannot visit the Bedford Public Library
-to stimulate an interest in reading and learning by connecting and exploring multiple subjects
-to provide programs aimed at educating children and adults
-to promote the many services available at the Bedford Public Library
About Us:
-We visit every elementary classroom in NLCS once a month, as well as Headstart, liscensed daycares and Hamilton Courts, reaching over 2,500 children each month!
-We have a variety of programs that combine social studies and sciences with children's literature and reading.
-Our programs meet Common Core standards and combine art and music, science experiments, and much more!
-During the summer we participate in the BMS summer meals program and community events such as Safe Night and National Get Outdoors Day.
-In the future, we look to expand to nursing homes and assisted living centers.
