Get the most out of our digital collections:

  • Check all of our services before placing a hold or making a request. What you want may already be available with no waiting in a different digital collection.

  • Place holds for what you want to read now. Wait times can be unpredictable, and holds keep your place in line while letting us know when titles are in high demand.

  • Use Libby tags and hoopla Favorites to mark titles you want to read later. You can filter those lists by what's available and find something to read while you wait for holds.

  • Return books if you finish early. This keeps books moving and frees up space for you to borrow more!

A note for Kindle users: Access to our digital services depends on what type of Kindle you have. Libby, hoopla, and Kanopy apps are all available in the Amazon appstore for Kindle Fire tablets. Kindle Paperwhite and similar eReader devices can use Libby in combination with a web browser to borrow and send eBooks to your Amazon library. Ask us how to get started!
