MARCH: BOOK THREE Earns the National Book Award

The graphic novel titled MARCH: BOOK THREE by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell earned the prestigious National Book Award from the National Book Foundation on October 16. The book, told in an illustrated comic format, is the final story in a trilogy that depicts Congressman John Lewis’s firsthand experiences during the Civil Rights Movement, and it received the National Book Award in the category of Young People’s Literature. The illustrated biographical series has previously won the honors of Robert F. Kennedy Book Award, the Eisner Award, two Harvey Awards, and a Coretta Scott King Author Honor.
