Pokémon Go Takes the Library by Storm

Tuesday, July 12, 2016

Pokémon Go was just released a few days ago, but it already seems to be taking the world by storm. The new online game craze, developed by Niantic, was just released for iOS and Android devices, and it allows players to use their phone’s GPS and camera features to find, catch, and collect Pokémon characters that “appear” in their vicinity. Players must move around in their community to find and catch Pokémon and to find Gyms where players can train or fight.

If you see players flocking to the Library, then you guessed right… the Bedford Public Library is listed as a Poké Stop where you can collect everything from Pidgeys to Nidorinas. Just be careful not to sit on the Rattata that lurks on the chairs on our Adult Services floor.
